Our students, teachers, and staff came together to celebrate Día de los Muertos! It was a day full of learning, traditional dress, and honoring vibrant heritage. ​At the front of our school, we set up a special ofrenda (altar) where our Majestic family could bring in pictures and share cherished memories of loved ones who have passed on. Seeing our hallway filled with stories, photos, and bright marigolds made this standard tradition unforgettable. ​Thank you to everyone who participated, shared their family history, and helped teach our students the beauty of remembering those who came before us! 🧡💜

As a reward for their dedication, good choices, and strong character, they enjoyed a fun-filled trip to Menchi's Frozen Yogurt with our principal! ⛵️ Anchors away in 2nd Grade!🌊 Mrs. Wayment and Sr. Findlay's classes recently dove into history and STEM as they learned about Christopher Columbus and set sail on a hands-on adventure! Our student scientists put on their thinking caps to design and test their very own mini ships. Each student formed a hypothesis testing three key variables. 📐 Sail shape - triangle, square, octagon, circle, hexagon ⚖️ more playdough or leas for weight 🌬 Soft steady breeze vs. a full gust The best part? Students put their theories to the test in a high stakes head to head boat race to see whose hypothesis held up under pressure! We love seing our students combine history, critical thinking, and scientific investigations into one exciting project. Way to go, young explorers!

What a day for our 2nd graders! Today, our little explorers took learning outdoors for an unforgettable field trip to the WSD Discovery Center. 🍁🏹 From hitting the trails to trying out new skills, our students were busy all day long: 🥾 Hiking through nature and taking in the beautiful fall leaves and fresh autumn air. 🏹 Archery practice—testing out focus, patience, and aim with bows and arrows! 🔬 Microscope discoveries—getting a close-up look at leaves, bugs, and treasures found on the trail. 🍁 Autumn science—learning the fascinating science behind why leaves change color! 🔥 Campfire sweet treats— around the fire roasting delicious marshmallows. Instead of just reading about the world around us, they turned their classroom into a laboratory for hands-on investigations! ​Students are actively exploring the three main states of matter and discovering how properties change right before their eyes: ​Solids: Investigating fixed shapes, volumes, and structural traits. ​Liquids: Testing how they flow and take the shape of any container. ​Gases: Capturing and observing the invisible power of vapor and air in action! ​Watching these young scientists question, test, and analyze data has been incredible.
