Community Council Meeting Minutes

February 7, 2023

Attendees:

Angie Francom, Jennie Taylor, Karianne Moore, Randy Allred, Jarvis Pace, Elizabeth Putnam, Melissa Copeland

The meeting was opened up by the Angie Francom, Chairman.

Last meeting minutes were voted upon and approved by the committee.

Update on the 2022-2023 Land Trust budget was reviewed and discussion on the next year’s Land trust plan was conferred. Question about whether the committee agreed with going forward on the new plan for the school year 2023-2024. It was 100 consensuses of the committee to go ahead with the approved plan for the year 2023-2024 which is due on March 10th

The question was asked about grandparents tutoring. The policy at Weber School District is that if a volunteer has not had an official background check by the district, the tutor cannot be out in the hall with a student(s) without an employee present. Therefore, if a volunteer would like to get their background check, they may do so but they are responsible for the cost. At the present time, it is around $60.00 to get that background. A tutor may stay in the classroom where the teacher is present and have no background check.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March, 7, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
