Virtual Book Fair

Hello to all the Majestic parents out there!

I'm Darcie Waite, the Majestic Elementary book fair chair. I'm so excited Majestic is able to have an in-school book fair next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Even though Majestic will have a similar selection of books that is typical for our fairs, shopping at the fair is going to be different this fall. There are several adjustments that have been made to ensure students, teachers and volunteers stay safe while at the fair.

  • First, students can attend the fair with their classes. Teachers can sign up for individual time slots to come visit the book fair with their class. Students will be able to make wish lists at this time to be able to bring home to you.
  • Second, all purchases will be made using Scholastic's eWallet (see commercial to learn about ewallet) or credit card.

To set up eWallet you will need to access Majestic's book fair home page. Click on the bright orange Get Started button at the bottom of Majestic's book fair home page. You will be prompted to sign into your Scholastic account or to make an account. Once you are logged in you will add your child's name, teacher, grade and add an amount using a credit card. Remember to account for tax. Then, send back your child's wish list with the book titles and your signature verifying that a certain amount was added to the eWallet. Your child will hand the wish list in to their teacher and a book fair volunteer will gather them every morning. The volunteer will select the books for your child, use the eWallet to make the purchases, and deliver the books and receipt back to your child's class that same day!

To make a purchase using a credit card, send your child's wish list with the book titles, your signature, your cell number and the best time to reach you during school hours next Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. I will personally call you, on the school's line (801) 452 - 4260 to take your credit card information and complete the transaction. The books will be delivered to your child's class that same day!

  • Third, to make shopping from home easier, I've attached comprehensive book lists that Majestic has available right now at the fair. However, not all of the books are on the list, so a virtual walk-through of Majestic's book fair is available on Majestic's FB page and through the school website.
  • Last, as I'm sure you are aware, parents are not able to come inside the school. This also includes the book fair. Thank you for your cooperation!

I hope that all of Majestic Elementary's kiddos will be able to have fun at the book fair!
