Here are some of the parking lot concerns I've received (and seen) personally and/or
seen on community social media pages this fall:
(in no particular order and not all inclusive)
1 - Parents pulling around the back of the school, by the portables. Speed and lack of
attention to pedestrians and general surroundings are both issues. Many parents have
seen near misses with students being hit and other cars being narrowly missed.
The orange flags going back up recently are helping with this tremendously!
2 - Parents parking in the carpool lane (street side, north of kindergarten lot).
Sometimes cars are left running other times not. This happens most during midday
kindergarten and preschool pickup and after school pickup. This causes the existing
congestion to worsen.
3 - Parents double parking in the street while idling and waiting to pull into either the
main lot or the kindergarten loop. This is especially bad on the north east side, where
parents wait to pull into the kindergarten loop. Often, there are two full lanes of vehicles,
5-6+ cars deep.
4 - Parents pulling into the main lot from 2550N and stopping before they even reach
the fence to drop students off. This worsens the backlog of cars coming from both 2550
N and 450 W.
5 - Parents driving in between buses in the morning, or stopping in front of the buses 
6 - Parents entering in the exit side of the main lot, either to loop around to the correct
side OR find a space, driving the wrong way down the aisles
7 - Parents turning left out of either lot during high volume times. When it's not high
volume, it's not an issue. Everyone needs encouraged to turn right onto 2550 N to then
reach the highway via Hillsborough Dr OR turn right onto 350 W to loop behind the
school.
8 - Parents rolling or coasting through stop signs at 350 W 2425 N. and 450 W 2425 N
and other major crossings
9 - Crosswalk needs painted at 350 W 2550 N and possibly 450 W 2550 N
