Dual language immersion is a 50/50 instructional model in which students spend half their day learning in English and the other half learning in Spanish or Chinese. Through developmentally appropriate curriculum, students naturally pick up the language as they learn other subjects. The program is based on the total language learning approach incorporating content-based instruction and explicit language instruction.
